Tell us about your journey into acting. What inspired you to pursue this career path?
I started acting already in High School by playing Lead Parts in Musicals and Theatre. Later when I moved out to Hollywood around 10 years ago I’ve decided to work on my craft and studied acting for film and theatre. I always knew that I’m good at it and it’s my passion to tell stories. My inspiration were different Movies like Gladiator, The Godfather, Dirty Dancing, Forrest Gump etc. movies that touched me emotionally. I was fascinated by Hollywood actors like Robert De Niro, Denzel Washington, Hally Berry and many more.
What challenges do you face while preparing for and portraying different characters?
My personal Challenge is actually to stay in Character and don’t get distracted by the responsibilities that I have for my persona like keeping my SocialMedia updated etc. The Business Challenge that I had in Hollywood was to get my feed into the door and to get a chance to actually show my skills. There were a lot of actors with the same dream. When you have so many Brand Deals for your SocialMedia everyday to have a stable income, it will take away your focus on “acting”. Luckily I booked some great Roles in Germany. One of them was a Leading Role for a Movie that played in the German theatres. I also worked a year full time as a TV host. It’s was super fun but really challenging because I had to prepare 10 TV life shows per day myself.
How do you balance your personal life and career demands, especially given the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry?
I think I have a pretty good work-life-balance since I make sure to workout a lot, to meet friends and travel in between my projects. It could be better but I’m a person who can not take too many days off. I love my job since it’s all about being creative. It doesn’t feel like a job to me.
Are there any dream roles or genres you haven't explored yet but would like to in the future?
There a many character that I think would fit. But honestly since I direct my own Music Videos and I know that I’m really good in Storytelling I’ve decided to produce my own Series one day. I’m tired of playing Roles in Stories that don’t touch me emotionally or stay relevant. That’s why I’m focused on my music at the moment.
When did you first discover your passion for rap music, and how did you start your journey in the industry?I
listen Rap and R’nB since I was a kid. I do also listen to other Genres but HipHop is my thing, you know. I was a singer in our school choir as a Teenager and had vocal lessons in LA and recorded a few Pop Songs. The first time started with Rap was when I moved back to Germany when the pandemic started. It is Passion and Therapy at the same time. I feel like, I can be myself for the first in my life. I my Songs I say what I think and express how I feel without thinking about the judgement. There is so much work behind the writing and it’s even a bigger challenge to make it sound fly in the German language. (HaHa)
Rap music often addresses social issues. How do you use your platform to shed light on important topics?
Since I’m still at the beginning of my Muaic Career I didn’t dive too deep into Social Issues Topics but I will for sure in the future. I have started to talk about issues I see with girls doing surgeries all the time and being a Trendsetter instead of copying other people to feel accepted and cool. We live in a World where people identify themselves only through their looks and material things. That’s sad to me and we should change that.
Tell us about the creative process behind writing and producing your music.
There are different ways but usually I start with a vision for a Song and find the right beat. That itself is a whole process in Germany. It takes hours of being in studios or researching. It’s not always big names that bring you the beat you are looking for. It’s a lot about trying out since no one can look into your head. Than I think about the messages of the Song which leans on the Tempo and Vibe of the Beat. Than the most fun part starts: Writing! Of course I get help to write my lyrics, since I just started and it’s very complex. German people really judge you for every single word you use! Haha it’s crazy! After the Song is recorded and mastered comes the Music Video which is as important as the Song itself. Since I have an acting background it’s very important to me.
Collaborations are a big part of the music industry. Can you share some of your favorite collaboration experiences?
I collaborated with an amazing Jewelry Company from Beverly Hills for my Thugger Music Video, with Jeff Hamilton a good friend of mine and legend hooked me up with a really dope jacket for my next Single and many of my Cast Members I’m the Videos are big names in the entertainment industry themselves. Of course, I would love to have a big fashion brand collaboration for my next videos. I worked with many Brands and Designers in the past years. It’s all Art and connects us Artists. Different Skills but same language!
How has fashion impacted your life?
Fashion is the way to show your personality. -I was always different when it was about Styles and Outfits. I am always looking for the pieces no one has. I love uniqueness and don’t care as much about labels like other people. No matter what I wear it has to feel special to me. I’m always invited to fashion shows and walked 2 Runway shows myself. The fact that I can walk a Fashion Show with a height of 5,4 which was back in the days impossible is amazing. The diversity we allow in Fashion in the past years is really refreshing. I’m sure that I’m going to have my own Fashion Brand in Collaboration with other Designers one day.
What drew you to the TikTok platform?
To be honest when the Covid Pandemic started I started with funny Tiktok clips to keep myself creative. I was isolated for 5 months in my apartment in Beverly Hills and the TikTok’s and feedback I received from people motivated me and it was fun! Nowadays it’s a really good tool to build a community and show your music.
How do you balance making music with your filming schedule?
At the moment my focus is only on music until I get an offer for a Role that is on a level where I can say it’s worth the work. I started to see my own value. It’s really important! Never waste your time and undervalue your talent!
Tell us about life living in LA.Life in LA is a big party and you live in a bubble. You see so much glam, money, parties, beautiful people and on the other side a lot of crime, homeless people and struggle to build a career and make money. It’s black and white City with mixed emotions. I love LA, but I can not be there longer than 3 months in a row. At some point you get lost. It’s the best place to create and get inspired and at the same time it’s the City where you feel really lonely. No one will understand that until they lived there. I still love and miss LA and can’t wait to go back in a few weeks to see my friends! Everybody is like me there and even more crazy. HaHa They have dreams, love to create and have fun. No place feels like that to me. My heart is always in LA.
