Could you start by telling us a bit about yourself?
I'm Paula Assunção, Brazilian born in Iguassú Falls, Paraná, I’m a business student and professional model, and Miss collecting a total of 12 beauty titles, and now the newest current Miss Eco Brasil 2023.
Tell us about your journey so far.
I feel that all the contests I've participated in so far have been a preparation for what I'm going to live now it's an honour to be nominated to represent my country at Miss Eco International
How do you feel about having been nominated to be Miss eco Brazil 2023?
I am flattered and grateful to the organization and to the judges of the ‘world miss’ who saw potential in me and nominated me to be the representative of Brazil in miss eco international
Could you explain your preparation routine to us: diet, fitness, personality training, etc.?The preparation for a miss is not easy at all and it is amazing to see the evolution with each contest, from diet to training at the gym to training on the runway, public speaking, English classes, self-makeup, etiquette a miss has to be complete knowing a little of everything, general knowledge classes help a lot too
What will you do if you win the title?Do everything to make my community, country and world pay attention to environmental causes.
Do you direct beauty to purpose?I think this is the purpose of the contest to show that not only beauty lives a miss that behind beauty there is a purpose and everyone is there fighting for that purpose.
Which beauty queens do you admire?
Without a doubt the one and only Katriona Grey.
There has been this debate for a long time as to whether beauty pageants are still relevant or not. What is your position on this?
I believe so because every time it grows more and more franchises are appearing, what I think is amazing and beautiful is that several women, each one with a purpose, I don't see women competing, I see it as a meeting of purposes, each one with their own purpose to take to the world
What does it mean to be a modern woman?
Not fitting into patterns, being independent, having an opinion and positioning, and being free to be whomever you want!
Leave a message for new misses
I would like to say to the new misses that, of course, it is wonderful to win the crown, but that this is not the main focus, but to take your purpose and most importantly, enjoy the process. I travelled the
world to know places, people and cultures and within a contest, I found all this, and understand that each participant is already a winner just by being there and sharing this experience, enjoy the journey!
